Spray paint or roller paint?
I have brown laminate kitchen cabinet doors and I want to update the look without spending too much money. What is the most effective way to paint it? Any brands that are good? Also, can I paint my laminate worktop too? Thanks in advance for your tips!

Spray paint can run and the overspray requires to wear a mask unless you take doors off and spray outside. That means bugs can land in the paint while it is drying. I would go with chalk paint and a light sanding IF the finish is glossy. CLEAN surface is a must. CLR cleaner or Awesome from the Dollar Store remove all grease or nothing will stick for any length of time. You can purchase a laminate counter resurfacing kit for the counter top.
I would not use spray paint but a paint with a roller or brush for best results
A gallon of paint is less expensive than several cans of spray paint and you can get a roller and brush for cheap as well..you can paint the countertops as well here is info on both

Good look with the laminate. I've tried with very poor results as far as long lasting. If you have success, would you please post here as a project? Thanks,
Depends how comfortable you are with a spray gun. While they do give an outstanding end result you can easily ruin a paint job with runs.
A brush is a little more forgiving but still many light applications are better then a heavy one that run.
I wouldn't use a spray gun inside. Covering and taping everything in sight to prevent overspray. Covering doorways to other rooms. Extra work. Ventilation may be a problem. Use a foam roller and foam brush for a smooth finish. Remove the doors and lay them down gets a smoother finish.

I would roller paint, it'll help you to get a more even finish and you won't have to sand or touch up as many spots.
Check out how I painted my cabinets. I used roller paint just so I didn't have to empty my cupboards: https://happydealhappyday.com/how-to-paint-kitchen-cabinets-without-sanding/
The doors will be better brushed or roller.
