What to do with the back of the China

I would like to use the inside lights but the back of the China closet is rough. I have thought about covering it with silk or wall paper in a dark blue. Any suggestion? Thank you!

Panels cut to fit (cardboard or foam board) with a pretty fabric or paper attached are easy to put in and take out. Or you can stencil, or wallpaper. Take a look at these: -

I am currently using scrapbook paper and double- stick tape in my china cabinet, so that I can easily change the look. I have also used fabric Christmas napkins and thumbtacks. -

another nice look is a mirror in the back, will reflect your lovely crystal and when a large item is there it just blocks it.
