Can chalk paint be used for outdoor statues?

    only if you use an outdoor sealer or varnish on top of the chalk paint. Hope this helps

    Yes. It can even be mixed with cement, concrete or plaster in forming the statues, or painted over the surface of the statues. But you will have to use several coats of outdoor polyurethane or varnish, letting each coat dry before applying the next coat. Mixing the chalk paint with the molding or carving medium will be more pastel in color, but should last through many seasons of weather if the outdoor sealer is repeated when any chipping or hail or flaking occurs.     Yep, A clear sealer would protect the paint. But a clear sealer should be used outside no matter what kind of paint.

    We have used Amy Howard One Step Paint on tons of outdoor concrete projects and it has never chipped or peeled. It's the best! We have had some stepping stones we painted with it outside for 3 years, still look the same as the day we painted them.
