Can you paint electrical cords?

Is it okay to PAINT LAMP AND/OR ELECTRICAL EXTENSION CORDS FROM WHITE TO BLACK ?

Sure , it will scrap off easily though if scratched.
I have spray painted mine several years ago, and they are still good. Of course I kept it away from the connections.
I agree with Dee. Spray paint would be the best to use.
I spray painted all of my TV cords to help them be less noticeable. They are rarely handled so they have held up well.
