Shower tile stencil paint
I would like to stencil some designs on my shower tiles. What type of paint should I use? It has to be able to stand up to being in the shower.

Hello Joe, to coat tiles on shower walls, you need specialty paint. One example that's widely available is Rust-Oleum Tub & Tile paint. This two-part acrylic epoxy comes in white and two off-white colors, Biscuit and Almond. It costs $23 on Amazon.com and is also carried by many home centers and paint stores.
You will need an epoxy paint.
Use an epoxy paint and make sure to seal it.
Only paint that will work is Rustoleum or Homax tub and tile paint. I doubt it would be easy to stencil with it since it is epoxy based.
Rather than stenciling your shower tiles, have you thought about applying adhesive decals? They are readily available in various designs and would provide a very similar appearance.

What ever you use just get a spray varnish and 1 coat it
I would ask at the paint specialty shop what they recommend. I think it's less about the paint you use and more about the sealer. Stenciling may be tough with certain epoxy paints. You might chose an enamel paint and then seal over it. Testors paints might be worth looking into.
