How can I make DIY epoxy dye?

Kinda hard to explain what i mean in the title, but in short - I live in Mauritius. Over here, most things are hard to get or just completely unavailable.I've been thinking about trying a few things with Epoxy and wood, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to look for in this stuff. The epoxy, we only have 2 brands really. I've checked both and they're just labeled as ' G P Clear Epoxy' or 'GP Epoxy Clear Adhesive'. They both say they're good for outdoors, except one is supposedly more durable. - are there any specific ingredients or anything to look for in this stuff?As for the dyes, i'd like to dye the epoxy as well as some cement. I've found a few dyes i can ship to myself for epoxy, but none that can ship here for the cement. Are there any dyes i can make myself for the epoxy or cement?I've looked at that online, but they seem a bit vague, like 'use water based paint for the cement'. is that any good? How good is it compared to a proper dye, etc?

For the epoxy you can use the clear epoxy. Epoxy adhesive is not the same thing. Why dont you buy the pigment online. They come in very small bottles because they are concentrated, so postage will not be to high.
I don't know what you are doing but it sounds like the epoxy is a resin? In that case you can dye it with a resin dye. I have seen people use acrylic paints in their resin. Resin is pretty versatile. I painted my countertops and poured resin over the top of it and the paints can be seen through it. OR you can put the dyes right in it. I have even seen people use spray paints in it. I don't know if that would yellow the product since spray paints are oil based but their project turned out beautiful. It is the same coating as what you would see on a bartop. Is this the type of epoxy you are taking about? Envirotex is the brand that I used. I don't know if you can get that shipped to you where you live or not. As far as dying cement, I found this product at Home Depot that would probably work....and who knows, it probably would work with resin as well.:

G P Clear Epoxy is a two part epoxy resin use to put a clear coat layer over anything. GP Epoxy Clear Adhesive is a glue that comes in tubes to glue items together. For dyes you can use acrylic based paint for the epoxy. Water based paint for coloring cement or a powdered dye added while mixing the cement.
Hi! To dye your epoxy you really just need mica powders or alcohol inks or acrylic paints. If you are doing a large project go with Mica powder!! Checkout shop resin molds. They ship internationally. Here is their link

You can use mica powder that you can add to the resin. Works really well and it looks great.
Do you have access to spray paint? I've never tried this myself, but in a few different Youtube videos of people re-surfacing countertops with epoxy, they mix some black spray paint into the epoxy. In my experience, I have used the 2 part system, the resin and the hardener, then add the color either as a powder or already mixed pastes, gels, or liquids-you can find these at Amazon, hardware stores, diy stores, automotive, and in art suppliers. If you know what color you want, put it in the mixture right from the container or have a small amount of blended colors made up before putting them into the epoxy.
Add the color to the epoxy and stir well to evenly blend the color, then apply it to your project.
