U painted my . It lasted for years. The first step is sanding it very well. Then wash it with soap and water then rinse well. After it's dry tape everything you don't want painted. Use latex paint, you may need 2 or 3 coats of paint. Let it dry 48 hours. Last step is polyurethane 3 or 4 coats. Let it dry 24 hours between coats. Good luck

There are also some great kitcgen counter paint kits out there. They are available at your local home store and even online. They include everything you need and walk you through the process! Good luck!

Yes. The are boxed kits at the big hardware stores, a new product at approximately $100/gallon that would eliminate painting steps saving time, and I personally have had a local paint store describe what they could sell me to get the counter top done. The sky is the limit. Just carefully wash, sand, allow the required dry times between coats of paint , and just get a very good sealing product application on top. Good luck.

Epoxy is a 2 part liquid that when mixed together and poured on a surface hardens like a rock. It is clear. You see it a lot on Bar tops. If I were you I would go on YouTube and watch videos on how to apply. It can be tricky if you don’t have experience.
