How do I paint tile to match older tile which is no longer available?

Installed a new stove but before I can install new over stove microwave some tile work has to be completed as the dimensions of both appliances aren't the same. The tile color installed 25 years ago cannot be found. I was thinking I could paint tiles to match. These tiles will need to be cleaned as the will probably catch grease from stove top cooking. Any suggestions on type of paint? I have no issues with reheating tiles to bake in finish and/or sealant.

Hi Susan they make very specific tub and tile paints just for that purpose. They come in kits with great instructions.
Why don't you add an accent border or rework just the area by stove. Lots of times that's a different tile anyway. Safer than trusting paint on tile

If you don't paint, you could go with some type of co-ordinating tile. They have some that are metallics. You could match to your appliances.
