Hi Del, it does depend on what kind of floor you're trying to cover up. If its wood use a really good oil based primer paint and sealant. -

It depends on what the floor is made of...they do make floor paint though! -

Use either a roller working from the far corner to your escape door or use a brush and work backwards to the door....
