Billysutton, I was hoping there was a photo, but I have two suggestions. If the bolt has any part sticking out, lay a piece of flexible material like a dishwashing glove or a couple of layers of plastic wrap over the bolt end. Then use pliers to unscrew or pull the bolt out, with increased grip. If the bolt end is smooth or recessed, use a hammer and another bolt, a short piece of rebar, or something else strong and cylindrical, to knock the bolt all the way through to the other side, or far enough that you can use a vice grip to pull the bolt from the back side.
