Manufactured homes have wooden trusses that are made of thinner wood. You just have to make sure you attach to those. A stud finder would be a good investment.
Yes, you can’t attach it to the roof itself. You’ll need to run the wires in exterior grade conduit and an exterior ceiling box meant to hold a fan. The “home run” needs to be on a circuit, that is GFCI, because this is technically outside.
I highly suggest that you hire an electrician or at least a handyman who has experience in this.
I agree with Lifestyles Homes, hiring an electrician and/or a handyman is ideal here considering moisture and structure issues. A fan needs to be hung quite sturdily with good support.
