What do I do to stop my washing machine from shocking me every time I?

Here lately every time I touch my washing machine anywhere on it it gives me a shock it just started doing it I have unplugged it but I am desperate need of my

    Susan, please call an electrician. This could be dangerous.

    Water and electricity is a bad mix so be careful there must be a ground wire that is either missing or not correctly connected in the plug or your outlet your plugging into? or on the back of your washer where the plug wire goes in.

    Is it an actual shock or static? Check for static by touching the dryer. If it doesn't do it as well, definitely have an electrician look at it or a repairman.

    Susan, they're right safety is first and foremost. You should call an electrician. I have a question, though. Like Kathy says it could be static electricity. Have you done something new? Added a carpet, rug? House less humid? It could be as simple as that. Any changes? BE safe.
