Which Professional gas range is good?

I am planning for professional gas range for my home. It's a family of 5 people and the gas range will have medium usage. We do have have small parties at home (before Corona struck) once a fortnight for which the gas range will have a heavy usage. While researching, I came across https://www.hod9.com/best-professional-gas-range-for-the-home/ and the suggestions look good. I like the Bosch gas range range mentioned there, Bosch HGI8054UC, but I am not sure. Anyone who has an experience of this brand/model or any other model which you can recommend?

We have a 36" Zline Range and really love it! I read some reviews before purchasing and people who have previously owned Viking says they are comparable.

There are many good ranges out there. It depends on your budget and need for "commercial" grade ranges. Names like Wolf come with quality and big prices. I always look at features and price.and ask, "Is this $2000 range going to work any better than another that costs $600?" Some people will spend more for the perceived status.

Check out "Yaleappliance.com", then look for the reviews of professional ranges.

You'll find very detailed information for homeowners, including modifications that may be needed to your exhaust system, weight issues, reliability, cost, etc..

  • My sister is a HUGE cook and baker with a large family and went with the GE Profile range and loves it. No problems with heavy use many years in. Maybe something to consider.

Professional ranges have significantly higher burner capacities. They are also much heavier and require larger exhaust fans. In addition their weight is not always compatible with the structural limits in some homes.

GE is a good brand and not overly expensive either

  • I would look up reviews on a few different sites that offer it and see how it is rated and if anyone has any trouble with it over time. Or, perhaps find a store that carries it so you can see it in person.

Blue Star, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, Jenn Air- check out the Yaleappliance blog site, as recommended, to see if this level is truly what you are seeking. I do a tremendous amount of cooking, baking, entertaining, but have been very satisfied with older Thermador 30" double electric wall ovens and Dacor 5 burner gas cooktop. If I had to replace these, I'd look at Blue Star, Gaggenau, Wolf, Miele, Jenn Air, in that order. Be prepared for sticker shock, but these are excellent choices.

I would visit stores that carry professional ranges and look at them and see which one will meet your needs and your stove opening in your kitchen- it is hard to look at them online and know if they fit your needs. THere are showrooms for the high end ranges just google them in your zip code area
