Need advice on fixing a wall cheap

The wall is drywall and tape is coming loose which is adjoined to metal wall where there was a wood stove no longer there has been painted then there is drywall on other side need and idea to fix it some how,a renter will be moving in so do not want to put a whole lot of money in here just for it to look good
