How do you convert ceiling fans with lights, to fans without lights?

I have three ceiling fans like the picture, and I want to remove the ugly lights and just have the fans. Is there a way to safely do this?

Most fan lights can be removed - Take apart the bulbs and shades, then undo the screws on the side of the extention, then the wires. You can get caps to put over the extension where the lights were.

On some fan / light combos you can. Look up the model on the manufacturers website if you no longer have the owners manual.
