How to hang a lampshade over a bare light bulb?

We have an unfinished room that I'm trying to spruce up a little until we can actually finish it. I'm looking for suggestions on how I can hang a drum lampshade over a light fixture (bare bulb in ceramic base). There is no dropped ceiling, just the rafters.

There is a clip that is, or was, used to attach the shade to the bulb. Haven't seen any recently in department stores, but you may find them in antique stores or thrift shops.

If there are spokes inside the shade, why not use rope for a rustic look or wire for a modern look and just hang it from the rafters?

yes there is a clip for the bulb that is already attached to the shade.you may have to order one online.
