Should outside light fixtures/plugs be caulked?

Yup, definitely caulk wherever there are holes in your siding, bugs and stuff can get in there but also moisture, so its a good idea to seal it up wherever you canHelpful Reply -

yes, a couple reasons.. prevents bees and spiders of any kind from moving in and prevent moisture buildup from corroding your wire and fixture.Helpful Reply -

use a clear silicon caulk...should you need to remove it from the fixture to do maintenance it’s easier than the others to remove,Helpful Reply -

Yes!! Caulk all holes and cracks outside your house, not only around light fixtures. Bugs, mice and the weather (rain) can get inside the walls.Helpful Reply -
