I would get some gold spray paint from Rustoleum and repaint the whole set. They have a bunch of different golds to pick from.

If the finish has been removed from your fixture, you can either paint the fixture with a good quality metallic paint...or replace the fixture with a new one.

It just may need a chemical reaction. Try good apple cider vinegar (the mother would be wonderful) on a cotton swab. Dry then dab the vinager on a small piece of the fixture, leave for a min.

You can buy gold rubbing wax and gold leaf (well not real gold) at a good craft shop. They will also tell you what you need and how to do it......
