How can I repair a dresser drawer that won't stay closed?
my dresser drawer continually drifts open. There is no abuttment to attach a magnet as one suggested.
There are these little hooks you can get. Some are magnetic, if you are worried about lining this type up correctly. I have the same issue. My house is 107 years old and everything is wonky, so we installed those so the doors weren't hanging open https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hickory-Hardware-Bronze-Cabinet-Catch/50149656?cm_mmc=SCE_PLA_ONLY-_-Millwork-_-SosCabinetHardware-_-50149656:Hickory_Hardware&CAWELAID=&kpid=50149656&CAGPSPN=pla&k_clickID=6c8fbd32-f2c7-4319-9eb0-4cb212ff89bd&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiLDMBRDFARIsACNmiX-uESIqZPCvMJopBw6QFkYXiIdpS2VrsVy3b6qU5QYqHYXjl-WPJKkaAvgFEALw_wcB
Here, see if this helps. Could just be a simple hardware adjustment provided the hinge has not been bent.

I'd use magnetic latches.
You can be replacement magnets. I've had to do this on several of my cabinets. It's basically a two piece system. One piece mounts on the door and one piece mounts on the inside of the cabinet. The magnet keeps the door closed. You can get them cheap (less than $8) on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/White-Plastic-Housing-Plate-Magnetic/dp/B00AFX1BTG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1502370201&sr=8-5&keywords=cabinet+door+magnets
Buy some magnetic catches and install on cabinet door and base.
For a quick and easy fix - try securing a magnet on one side and a metal coin on the other.
We glued a magnet on the corner edge of the cabinet and one on the corresponding edge where the cabinet closes. Works like a charm!
Our hinges were bent so replaced them. Otherwise be sure your cupboard door (I am assume it is the door) has nothing inside to hold it open. The magnet sounds like a good deal also.
Magnets!
