Advice for re-covering/refinishing FORMICA?

I have a burn mark from a candle in formica. The bottom must have gotten to hot when it burned out.
I don't want to replace it because I would have to take out a huge mirror and tile backslash. It has to look great because I am selling soon.

You could hire a professional faux painter to chamoflage it, but then I would feel guilty selling my problem to some poor new home owner.
To me it is barely noticeable and not a deal breaker for purchasing a house. There are options. You can do nothing and if it becomes an issue you can give them an "allowance" for a new countertops. Another option is to buy a countertop refinishing kits like this.

Check with your realtor and see what will or won't fly in your market.
I would just leave it and when you list with the realtor, add it to your disclosure statement.
Just clean the Formica and polish it until it shines. The new owners are likely going to change the cabinetry, anyway. But a clean shiny face is a good thing. ☺️
