We seem to have some unwelcome Mickeys and Minnies in our house. What is the best way to get rid of them?
I want to remove my popcorn ceiling, but it has asbestos in it. How do I go about this safely?
How do I fill gaps at baseboard, should I caulk? If so, does anyone know how to caulk baseboards?
How do I fix squeaky hardwood floors?
Might undergird the cushions with a piece of plywood

I agree, the plywood would hold up the cushions, unless the cushions need new stuffing.
Joyce,. Try putting some thick board under each cushion. If your mattress is old you can buy one, that's not expensive. This will help also. Aloha!
Hi Joyce,
Well, that's an old one, but since I've been in a same boat, let me share my tricks with you.
First of all, flip the mattress.
1. If it is still sagging in the middle, it is the support -> add the board to it in the middle. Or replace the webbing. I have in the past used a piece of plywood placed over the bed (photo of an example) and then the memory foam topper.
2. Not helping? Then maybe it's mattress then. Springs, for instance. Then you can add a topper or replace it with a custom one (can't give you any recommendations not knowing your location, but most of the shops nowadays have this option). This was my solution at least. Just bought a new mattress in a local store and they changed it so it could fit my sofa. So take the measurements of the length, width and thickness of the mattress. The look around for a mattress that might fit the frame.
3. If both are problematic, then I agree with Ebbjdl - it might be better to replace this whole thing.
