If you have all the pieces a furniture repair person should be able to repair it. I assume you were the movers not a co.?
I don't know, maybe. Send a picture. Not sure what the hand is you are referring to. Is it a decorative piece? Does it go under upholstery? I assume it's wood. How do it break, ie. splinter, at a joint, was it dowelled......?
