Over time my laminate cupboards and drawers are getting chipped. They look terrible. How can I fix this so they look nice again and it doesn’t cost me a fortune?

You might try putting a slight bevel on the edge to eliminate the chips. This could be done with a bevel bit in a trim router, sanding block, or file. Put a strip of blue painter's tape on the face to prevent additional chips and help you identify the limits of what you are fixing. A dark stain can be applied to the subsurface to make an accent look or get paint that matches the laminate color to disguise the edge.

How about tacking some trim on the bottom of all the cabinets. Laminate cannot be fixed, but it can be disguised. Or you can sand lightly and paint.

I believe laminate can be painted so you should be able to smooth that out with wood filler and paint
