Are the gliders completely broken? Maybe they just need a good lubricating with a silicone spray.

I have a patio glider that is 50+ years old. Metal frame & mechanisms with wood slats for bench, back, arms & tables. I've replaced all the wood using ripped redwood fence slats, and replaced hardware as needed. I shoot WD white lithium grease into all moving parts once a year. It sits in full sun on my patio, and has been trouble free now for 5 years.
