I would try this:Close the gateattach the top horizontal of the 'Z' to both side postspry all verticals looseAttach the bottom horizontal of the 'Z' to both side postsNow re-attach all verticals, and finally the diagonal, and the remove the attachments of your horizontals from steps 2&4 above. Now you have a gate that was assembled in the same vertical plane as the side postsbut that's just an educated guess ; ) -

I'm in SW MO.Think of it this way. Remove the cross beams, attach them to your uprights,and rebuild the gate on the uprights. It should fit, because it was 're-made' there -

How about going to Habitat for Humanity Re-Store and getting a used gate? You may even come across a nice wrought iron one. You'd be surprised at how inexpensive things are there. Plus, they even have sale days. I'm 73 and that's what I'd do rather than tearing apart the current gate and rebuilding it. -

It looks to me like your gate is sagging, which is a very common problem. You can buy, at most hardware stores (Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware) and online as well, an Anti-Sag Gate Fix Kit, which is easy to attach to your gate, and fixes the problem and can be adjusted as needed with a turnbuckle. Stanley makes a great one and there are a lot of videos on You Tube which will show you how it's done. Best of luck.
