I sound like a broken record because I say this so much, but if everything else fails try a Magic Eraser.

Use CLR, that should do it, follow directions on the bottle. Good Luck!

It is possible that the rust around your drain is the base metal and that the porcelain finish is gone. If that is the case, you will have to replace your sink.
