Kitchen drain is frozen, no relief from rotorotor.

All other drains are working. Extreme cold, never happened before. We keep house very cool, and do not heat lower level. We have the wood burner on downstairs, and a small heater under kitchen sink for the last ten days.

Pour boiling hot water in drain a little at time so no back up. Blow dryer to drain if you can get to it. Food luck.

We used to live in the North and kept the cupboard doors open during extremely cold weather to give the pipes a little more heat, and also let the water run all night at a trickle. Could you put a small space heater near the (open) cabinet or maybe use a hairdryer on low heat?

You may have to rent a construction type heater for your crawl space or basement, temporary solution.
