
What do you need to do to prevent pipes from freezing?

they can be wrapped in insullation. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask which wraps are right for the job. If you are talking about outside pipes like the ones that run water to your outside spigots, just turn off the water at the main for the winter to keep water out of the pipes.Helpful Reply -

anti freeze added. wrap them in heating tape, keep a space heater going. run hot water periodically. insulationHelpful Reply -

Also- moving water is much harder to freeze.. If it's you LAST resort, let the water run slowly (More than a drip) ... but be sure to manage where it goes!(Used this once in a sink whose supply pipe would freeze in sub-zero weather.)Helpful Reply -
