How can I keep the corners of an area rug from rolling up?

I've put the carpet tape on it, and carpet grip stuff, but one corner continues to roll up. Need a permanent fix. Thanks

  • Roll it in the opposite direction for a few days to let the fibers relax. Chances are the rug may have been rolled up for quite some time. If you have a blow dryer, that might help too.

Rugs are not made to go over rugs. Carpet tape will never work , in fact you are doing harm to both rugs. The one on top is sanding your carpet and the carpet stretches the backing of the top rug. Itveill always walk and curl. The only solution is to remove your wall to wall , put down a hard flooring and use your rug or move your rug someplace else that has a hard floor and keep your carpet.

If you have a hot iron, use it on a low setting to expand the fibers and bend it.

Home Depot (and other big box stores) sell rug tape that is easy on your floors.
