Dear Lisa,. Try using caulk. Run your hand around the window slowly, and feel for drafts. Caulk those areas, and put weather stripping around the doors. Aloha!

Caulk around the window lanes with clear silicone , if they are old and loose. If that is not an issue , get peel and stick foam window weather stripping. If you are a senior citizen , handicapped or have a low income , contact your local heating company , gas or electric , sometimes they have free supplies or at least information on weather proofing your home.

Insulated window treatments really work well and plantation shutters. https://rstyle.me/n/dbdzpccc4s7

CLEAR CAULK around every window edge & sill. If you wanna change it where they can be opened in the Spring, just simply peel off the caulk & open them. Reapply in the Fall-Winter for draft free windows.
