Apply heat with hair blower....works
Put a wooden spoon through the hook and pull.
Use a thin scraper to get under one edge of the knocker and try to move it to the side of the door so that part of the knocker is no longer on the door, then use your hands to pull harder on the knocker to release it. Are you sure it's just the magnetization that has it attached?
Have you tried tapping it on both sides-left and right to break the bond? That may jar the magnet loose enough for you to remove it.
