I would take the mirrors off the doors unless you really like them. Construction adhesive should be put on the corners and it will probably hold them there forever.
You could get some paint and paint on decorations around the edges, or paint it to make it look like they are framed.
Is it the silver coming off the mirror or is the mirror actually coming loose? You could put contact paper or cricut vinyl in strips around the edge that would complement the door frame. If you have a cricut you could cut fancy corners!
I used 1&1/2" wire edged ribbon (white with leaf pattern) aplied with hot glue gun. I mitered the corners. Still looks great. Been up several years.
