
The trim around my bathroom and bedroom door gets gummy and won't hold

Is it varnished rather than painted? Try deNatured alcohol and steel wool. or Formby's Re-finisher with steel wool.Helpful Reply -

Are you referring to the paint? If so, I would remove the gummy areas with paint stripper or sanding. Make sure all stickiness is gone before any new paint is applied. Apply a good primer and then a semi gloss paint.Helpful Reply -
