David your question got cut off. During the winter, a thunder storm. when someone is showering or something else???
Is it all the windows in the house that accumulate moisture, or just some windows in certain rooms?
Do you have any exhaust fans in the home? If they are old, then they may need to be replaced with new more efficient models.
Hi, David,
In addition to the above, check humidity levels in your home. Purchase a good dehumidifier that drains into floor drain in basement and set it for 40% humidity. If windows sweat in cool weather, remove screens. Too many plants will elevate humidity levels. Divert water away from your foundation. Don't leave water in your laundry tubs/sinks any longer than necessary. Your A.C. should reduce humidity levels in Summer, if properly sized and maintained.
Use your kitchen exhaust fan when cooking/baking. Bath exhaust fans should run for at least 20 minutes following showers/baths.
It sounds like you might have an air exchange issue or not enough insulation possibly. Vent as best you can or a dehumidifier might help.
You definitely use adehumidifier. This will help remove moisture from the air and prevent condensation on your windows.
