Laurie, you can purchase grout sealer at any home improvement store. It should be in the tile department. For white grout, I recommend using the sealer every couple of months to prevent the soil from staining it. I have white grout for my backsplash and that's what we do. It has worked well. It's a quick process to seal grout. Just make sure it's clean and dry. Spray on. Let dry. Buff off the tile.
I'm assuming it's cured (you don't seal until 3 days after laying). Tape off baseboards and possibly walls. There are a variety of sealers you can purchase. In my experience, the best one is the spray grout sealer. Make sure it's a sealer for bathroom floors. You will want a penetrating sealer. Apply and wipe off excess, within 5 minutes. Wait an hour before applying second coat. Check the 2nd coat and see if water beads into droplets. If it doesn't, apply a 3rd coat. Let it cure (24 - 48 hours) according to directions.
After for how often, I would say when you start to see the beading dissipate.
