Best way to apply pebble stone on top of existing tile shower floor

original tile, would like to upgrade just the floor. not sure how to navigate the drain which is a square and the tumbled pebble stone mesh is round. do i need to hire a plumber to replace the drain to meet the height? what prep products do i need to make sure the stone which is attached to the stone will adhere properly?

I would suggest getting a professional. Putting it over another floor could be a real problem and you need a professional so you don't end up with leaks. As a side note, make sure you like that kind of floor. Get a tile of it and walk around on it. We had one with small stones and it was fine, but we had one with the bigger stones and it hurt our feet and there was a ton of grout to seal and keep clean.
