I just added the peel and stick tile to a bathroom. Just make sure your walls are clean and dry, and are painted. I would not use the tile over any non-painted surface and it could damage the wall if you decide to remove it. Have a sharp knife or scissors to the tile. I started from the left side of the wall and worked my way to the right. Very please with the outcome.
Clean well with a degreaser first! :-)
I put peel & stick wall paper up as a backsplash in my kitchen and absolutely love it! I shared some of my tips here http://beautyforasheshome.com/faux-subway-tile-backsplash/
Draw a line to guide you. Don't pull off too much backing at once until correctly positioned and don't stretch it, just lay it down as flat as possible. If you should end up with bubbles, use a windscreen wiper or something simular to smooth them out to the outsides. Have you though of using Stick on tiles - easier to handle?
Use tile covers and stick them in place one at a time. once you have geven yourself a straight line as a guide. or for sheet plastic - don't unroll too much at a time. Don't stretch it and remove bubbles with a window cleaning Tool.
