i love the old drawer. They have such character. I have seen people put legs on them and use on counters for towels or toiltries. You also can hang them on the wall, and place a riser inside and place pretty perfume bottles or store extra towels. What about putting feet or legs for a magizines or sewing items. Also pretty with throws in them. So many things you can do. My friend has one with small feet by her stove. She has a ceramic pot, with spatulas, spoons etc. then cooking oils and pretty vintage kitchen towels hanging over the side. It's really very pretty!

I have a small one, only about four inches, I use it in my drop desk to hold pens, pencils and scissors. It may be darker in color, but it fits right in one of the holes to put things inside the desk. My mom used to have it on a book shelf with a little bittersweet and artificial greens.

I'm assuming they are small-ish drawers from an early, perhaps treadle?, machine.

If they are dry & faded, use some Howard's Oil & Wax to give them a nice luster, and/or stain them to a rich color. Or paint with your favorite color & use an antiquing wax to bring out the decorative surface.

Then you could home them in a bookcase, facing out & use to hold small things. Put nail files, polish, remover in one, make a mending kit in another, corral paper clips & rubberbands, or miscellaneous pencils, pens, markers. Use them for anything you would use a decorative box or basket for.

They are from an old treadle (Our city has certain areas that are "clean up areas" every spring--got them out of a pile of "junk". I will try the Howard's Oil and Wax; in fact, I have some in the cupboard. I may try to mount them on the wall, in my office/laundry room. Or, I could use them for holding smaller things for my sewing. Glad to get some ideas. Thank you!
