If they still look good and are useful, I take to them to Goodwill...it may help someone get a step up in life. That's what I do, if shirts are of no use, I save them for jobs were the shirt will be trashed afterwards, such as pressure washing the house(bleach), changing the oil, painting, staining or stripping wood...I usually have it all over me. LOL

You can make a pillow to place over your bed. The tie can be re-purposed as trim.
You can upholster a chair with it. Or you can help someone who is struggling and give the items to Salvation Army. Salvation Army is really honest, does not retain no money for itself, most charities cannot claim that.

Do you sew? I have seen very cute aprons made by keeping the front buttons and shape of the hem, but adding a sash at the top. You can sew the ties together side-by-side and use them to make an interesting pillow cover. Hope you post what you make! :)

Men's shirt sleeves can be made into wine bags. The front/back can be made into pillow covers and aprons. Ties (if wide) can be made into eye glass cases or wreaths and a wall hanging that's shaped like a fan. I think most of these ideas can be found on some of my pinterest boards.

Sorry I cannot see previous posts. The ties make beautiful quilts. There are patterns everywhere for them but personally I would do a log cabin block with them. You can do wall quilts or throws or something larger. On yiu make the top take somewhere that will quilt. Usually costs about $50   The shirts you could do the same but little stuffed animals are great

I've seen some cool creations on Pinterest where people made pillows or quilts from sports jerseys, t-shirts with logos, etc, but I can't bring myself to do it. I can cut a sheet or placemat to make something else, but clothing is such a necessity that I donate it to Goodwill or Salvation Army.

@Susan Shapiro There are LOTS of tie crafts on pinterest, or just google it... you can make skirts, dresses, purses on & on... I've seen dress shirts made into throw pillows using just the chest & back area with the pillow buttoning up the front, that are really cute & I'm sure if you google or pinterest that you will find lots more ideals too! :)

Take the dress shirts and make aprons with collars.  Add pockets from back panel and ties from the same fabric.  Also I remember making sleeping shirts for teen girls from my dads old long sleeve shirts. The arm length is up to you   Remove the collar and add Rick rack or lace and even do some embroidery.
