How can I use an old metal swing set?

Fashion it with thick plastic sheeting in the winter and use it as a greenhouse of sorts. Add a board across the middle for more surface space. Uncover it in warmer months and hang flowering plants and vegetables plants and climbing vegetables grow.

If allowed, cover with chicken wire and get 2 or 3 laying hens! They will change your life!

If you like humming birds, hang a gob of feeders and have a hummingbird palooza!

Drill hoes in the seats and insert potted plants. Train vines o pole beans, etc. to grow up the support frames

If you have kiddos practicing for batting practice or soccer, attach a net to it and let them fine tune their athletic skills.

Perhaps you could make it a focal point of a garden. Take down the swings and use the center pole for hanging baskets adding a lantern or two. Use the sides like you would a trellis. Maybe start a grape arbor on the sides. Use whatever plants are indigenous to your area.

You could turn it into a hanging garden using the hooks the swings, etc. were on, and perhaps pots or a garden underneath. Perhaps you can even use it to trellis plants by putting up string or narrow rope to the top for plants to climb, like an Arbor. Linda...You can just use the base and add a porch swing...lots of material such as; vinyl, wood, wicker, many even make theirs from pallets. Good luck

You could paint it to work in your landscape and use the swing hooks to hang planting baskets at varying lengths. In front of a back fence would be a pretty place for something like this.
