I've seen them filled with various glass bottles and fresh flowers.
I have one and am using for a towel holder in bathroom. Roll towels up and put in each slot. It is sitting on a large shelf but you could sit on a small table or add your own legs.
I put several together and turned on their side for "cubbies" to store things in my kids' rooms.
hang it on wall for shelving in any room; use to hold art or office supplies or sewing and crafting supplies either on wall or as a caddy
Hang it on the wall and use it like a shadow box with different things in it or to store mugs or cups.
