Uses for metal Seresto flea collar containers?

by Wyldecent
I have several Seresto flea collar containers. I'm stumped about what to do with them other than recycle. I don't need them to use as containers, but haven't figured out how to use them for an art project or something else . Any ideas? Thanks!

Glue them to board in a Christmas tree shape then either paint or découpage them with something holidayish. Or make a wreath out of them.

Depending on the size they are, they could be used as saucers for potted plants, or use to put a candle in so it doesn't damage the surface it sits on. I might have more ideas if I knew what they looked like or the size was.

Hi Susie, They are about 5 inches in diameter. The tops are embossed so not perfectly flat. The tops are painted different colors on the inside of the lid, depending on the size of the collar. I was thinking of trying to make something decorative. I don't need saucers or candle holders but I appreciate the suggestions. Thanks.

They would make great containers for small gifts, like jewelry, handmade coasters or even gift cards! You could even make them into a photo holder/book! The indent in the front would be great to frame a photo or a polymer clay insert. Or use decoupage of scrap booking materials to embellish it. Have FUN!!!

Flea collars are poison. I would not use the containers for jewlery, food, or anything that touches the skin.

I have some that I have saved. I do counted cross stitch so plan to cover mine with some stitched design. It could be covered with some pretty fabric too. Glue a layer of light batting on top, cut a circle that will come down onto the sides to the edge of the little roll and glue it along the sides. You can use any number of things glued to the edge of the fabric such as braid. Then use a coordinating color ribbon and glue it over the sides of the bottom to cover up the pic of the collar. Good size container for many things. Glad you ask as I have now gotten some other ideas.

I don't plan to use them for anything like that, although washing should take care of any residue. The collar is in a sealed plastic bag and doesn't touch the inside of the container. Thanks for your input.

LED lights inside either battery operated or corded then you could either punch holes in the lid to make a nice design Christmas or any other holiday or white frosted plastic sheet cut to shape and make a little light out of it even draw a picture on it for holiday or if you can find a way to get a translucent picture of a loved one insert it
