Paint different colors, put different color pillow tops & make slip covers to match for backs. Seen a person make a hidden box under seat for kids to put coloring books & etc in it. Good luck.

affix a planter pot, plant viney plants, I love Morning Glorys and let them grow all over them, great for by the front door or anywhere!

What a beautiful harp design on the chair backs. I think I might cut the backs off at the seats. Use them both as Wall Decor in a music or musician’s room. Or attach both backs to a piano stool. The seats look like guitar backs. I would make the chairs into stools, or just the seats into waist high or higher tables for plants, sheet music for practice, or snacks. Then the legs would be available to be cut down a few inches and leveled, and made into two single or one double footstool. Best wishes ☺️

If you have a large dog, you could cut a hole in the middle of each to set their water and food dishes in.

Or you could attach them face to face securely (.underneath) and make a single uphostered pad that would go across both to make a cute bench. (Might have to trim the front edges of the chairs so the match up evenly.)

I was thinking about making a bench out of them somehow. The backs are a bit on the high end so I'm not sure. I've been sitting staring at them for days!

I would cut a hole in the seat to accommodate a planter then paint it a fun color. Put the planter in the front or back yard. In the planter I would put petunias with a trailing vine like a vinca vine or or another trailing kind called liquorice. Also, there are petunias that trail. Those are called wave petunias. Perhaps a spike plant for height with the wave petunia too, can take the sun too. Have fun & good luck with your little adventure ! 🙂

I love these chairs exactly the way they are. I wouldn't destroy their beauty with any of the projects listed here that involve deconstructing or cutting pieces off them. I think you should refinish them to restore them and put them in bedrooms as a side/dressing chair. Or you could give them to me.

I actually dont want to cut them up. I was trying to figure out a way to turn them into a bench and preserve the seat because i love the "form fitted" seat. I dont have room for more chairs in my house and chairs are very hard to sell so I was thinking a bench might be an easier sell?
