Hi Susan, You could put a top on it and use it as an end table or even a desk. I like the idea of a wooden top. Even a raw edge would be great. I recommend that you look thru the table department of your local furniture stores. Find one that you really like. Take a couple pictures of it. Then try to recreate it on your iron base.

Make a table base from a treadle sewing machine... just add a nice wooden top. Great ideas here.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZn_YyXj_VY

Sure made me miss my old treadle sewing machine.... I made a Teepee on it back in the 60s.

Make a hall or side table. Use wood or glass as a top. I had one and. finally gave it to a friend after she begged for a couple of years. I see them in antique store at times.

My first thought was to have a wooden table top made for it to use as a small chair-side table. Then cover the top with shiny, new copper pennies. Then seal the top somehow so it's waterproof & leveled out between the pennies.

How about using it as a unique side table?
