What to do with empty Crystal Light tea containers

I drink way too much of the Crystal LIght tea and hate throwing away the clear, lidded containers. Any ideas on upcycling? Thanks!

I have a lot also, they make good storage for my paper beads. I think they would make good marker and coloring pencil storage if they were glued together . But I haven't tried that yet.

@Patricia Norman I do use several for pen storage to take to various meetings. They are a good length for pens/markers. Thanks! Another Norman

I use a similar dry mix drink container to store chargers for my cell phone, iPod and FM converter in the console of my SUV. I label the lid so I know just which container to grab. When I ran out to take the photo for you, I decided to add the others I had setting on the back entry desk to take out there. Forgot my marker, but one will be for receipts. Not sure what I'll use the others for, but they are great space holders for the mean time. LOL

I have an abundance of crochet hooks that I store in the containers. Labeling them is a good idea too. Never thought of that.

I use something similar for small snack containers for my lunch box. They hold carrot/celery sticks, small crackers, sunflower seeds, granola, etc. so my snacks don't get smooshed! They also make great containers for a small first aid kit or small emergency sewing kit.

@EdiLeck thanks for the idea of first aid kit. I'll use that for one of the empty containers in our vehicles.

Punch a few holes in the bottom and put a plant in it. Use the lid for the saucer

They can be used to hold prefilled insulin syringes for diabetics. I know of one person who had DM1 (and was legally blind) so a family member prefilled syringes with 3,5,or 10 units of short acting insulin and placed them in separate color coded empty containers. For the long acting insulin an off-brand (a different shape) container was used to make up the patient's' usual daily dose (short acting insulin for food or highs, long acting for your basal rate). For vacations or for people who get confused or can't see the small lines on a syringe well enough to pull up the correct dosage of insulin this way might be helpful. They were filled once a week and keep in the fridge.

I also use mine for crochet hooks, but I put a hole in the lid and one just below the edge of the main body a bit make a knot in one end and thread it from top down about four inches down cut and thread it from the inside outward and knot. Keeps the lid together with the container no fumbling while looking for the right needle.
