Changing door position?

Has anyone have experience on changing the position of the door, open into the room, from left to right?

We did it and filled in the holes with wood putty, then painted.

  Thank you Kathy! I need to repaint all my interior doors and frames anyway so this would be a good time switching the door position.
  I just hate to see the sight of the guest bathroom toilet when the door isn’t close after each use

Lots of patching. You'll have to remove old hinges, route out the hinge shape on the other side on door and door frame and do the same with the door catch on door frame. Cut thin wood to fill in old hinge holes, paint sticks work good, glue and brad nail in place. Patch with wood filler, sand prime and paint.

  Thanks Kelly for the insight. It’s just one guest bathroom door bc I hate the sight of the toilet from the seatings in the family room. Family members and guests don’t always close the door enough to hide the first thing one will see when the door is open.
  Why do builders do that? 🙄😏
