How do I change a square doorway to a curved archway?
We have doorway that had double doors on it when we bought the house. We removed the doors because we use the space as an office and the doors were in the way. We would like to take off the framing and create a curved archway.

Hello Karen, You would need to make an arch former out of timber, that fits exactly and fix it to the walls and plasterboard both sides, and skim coat with plaster, then trim the whole doorway with timber or brick slips. Or you could just Pin an arch to top and both sides of wooden door trim as is. and fill gaps with insulation and Plasterboard and use something decorative as an accent. How that is of some help......
You will need to purchase wood that will bend and then make a foundation. Home Depot can help you with what you need.
