Do you have a picture of the wood pieces? Are you looking for a permanent way to fasten or temporary?

You can use a construction adhesive such as ‘Liquid Nails’.

Hi K: You can glue some earth magnets to the wood, (they are really strong) if it's heavy, and then stick the wood to the door. If the wood isn't heavy, you can use those magnetic strips that come on a roll and is sticky on one side (I'd add a different glue as the glue on the roll is weenie) and stick it around the edges of of the wood. That way, you can rearrange the wood however and when ever you like. You don't mention what type of wood or what you are using it for. That would be helpful. I don't know if you have a Harbor Freight near you, but they have a magnet strip called a magnetic tool holder that's 18" long and about $5. That magnet is really strong and can be cut, if needed. Anyway, good luck with your project.
