Can you give me ideas for window covers for this bedroom?
We just added on a master bedroom and I’m looking for advice on curtains? Any unique ideas etc. Also I was considering brushed nickel table lamps. We’ve added a black upholstered headboard with silver tacks around it. Thank you

Also I realize my wash table is too big on the closet side of the bed. I’m searching for a smaller one
What about wide wood blinds spray painted to match the headboard? They would be different than any I've ever seen and also work well as black out blinds. You could even decorate the header with silver round "tacks".
Your picture over your bed is way too high. If the bedspread and bedding will be used for a while I would keep the same colors in what is there now. Personally I like floor to ceiling curtains. They will make the ceiling "higher" You could use the same color as wall and border in the teal color on curtains. Re: closeness to door of night table, I believe I would ignore pitch of ceiling and move all to the right. You asked for suggestions on curtains but I also like shutters and Roman shades for windows.
The headboard wasn’t finished on this pic. but it shows the height of it. Do you think the picture height is ok now? Also if I ignore the pitch of the ceiling and center the bed to fit the wash stand, do you think it’s ok if the picture and bed aren’t exactly centered with each other? Thank you for your suggestions.
Yes, the picture is much better and it should be centered on the bed. The bed/nightstands should be centered on the wall, not the ceiling pitch. It's looking good. Also though I would have matching lamps or at least same sized lamps and they should be bigger.
on the side where you have 2 windows I would for sure do nice light panels ( 4 total - 2 on each side of the the window) Window with desk I would just decorate with matching valance
The picture is still a little high. The usual rule is that the center of the art should be at eye level. There is a big difference there but would probably average about 5' 4 from the floor. Actually I think the picture would look better on the opposite wall by the closet. That would bring the color over to that side of the room. Then get something more neutral and linear for over the bed. Then you wont even notice if it isn't centered on the vault.
Everything should move to the right enough to clear the door frame. It looks crowded the way it is now.
I just saw on a Episode of "Good Bones" long drapes on windows like yours that were hung just on the outside of the windows. The rods went all the way across the top of each but the drapes were pulled to the outsides. They used black rods an black grommet curtains with a blue print.
I'm curious was it one rod across both windows? Also I agree with all the advice to shift everything to the right. Thank you for your help.
Hi ! Nice large bedroom !!!
I would put up a wood for to match the wood in your room and use aqua ( to match the color in your bedspread ) sheets . Sheets are inexpensive , so you can pick out other colors that might go with other bedspread or blankets . If you want something more unique . .. Use the wood does and make curtains out of Muslim or canvas dropcloths , I would she the bottom in an aqua fading upwards ( ombre style ) the use clips to hang from rod .
No problem i just really appreciate your feed back
