There are plastic films you can buy at your neighborhood DIY store that are made for keeping sun out. They act like mirrored sunglasses....you can see out but no one can see in. They have different intensities to choose from. We used them on the Carolina room when we lived in SC....easy to put on...spray bottle if w ater and a good squeegee. If you don't like that they also have films that look like frosted glass...bubble glass etc. Lots of options....good luck!@
Gallery Glass very inexpensive and easy to apply, plus will allow some light in. If you Google "gallery glass for privacy" you will see many examples.
What about a window film that acts like a mirror so you can see out but those on the outside only see their reflection?
window tint would work. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Window_film
My front door is 9/10 glass & so is storm door. I got a big stencil & used craft paint to stencil design on the glass storm door so when door is open you can't see in the house. Hope this helps. Good luck
I had this problem with my door into my garage. I used a window film that looks like frosted glass. It allows light but keeps every things inside private. Bought the film at my home improvement store. Went up very easily, with instructions included with the film.
You can always use a glass paint. i created an abstract design on mine it still allows light but is not totally open where others can see inside.
I had this same situation, I wanted the day light to shine thru, so I bought shelf liner that had a pattern and , much like the screen protector you put on a cell phone, I pressed the liner onto the window. It turned out wonderfully.
I have been very successful with the product "Wallpaper for Windows" I found it at Lowe's and Home Depot. It lets in light, but is wonderful for privacy. It is not expensive and very easy to apply. Can be removed easily; but once you take it off; you cannot re-apply it.
There are a lot of films you can put on your windows. This company has a large selection. Good luck. Happy shopping.

We ordered translucent blind for our kitchen and large Livingroom Windows. I still love them 8 years. You can choose the degree of translucency. We went a little dark, and also got a remote controller for the Livingroom window. We can see out pretty well. Someone would have to walk right up to the windows to try to see in, especially if you are lit from the front. If we want more light, we simply raise the blinds.
Amazon has lots of privacy window film and reflective window film that you can see out but others can't see in, and it comes in 4 colors - platinum, gold, bronze, silver and black.

Hi J'edith, hope this helps. Why not put a small set of venetian blinds on it, you can custom cut vinyl blinds to size for this. Or you can make a small curtain for it.

Had a friend who used wax paper to do this didn't look horrible when she was done and super cheap. It would look better if you were able to cover the edges of the wax paper.
Privicy Glass Film will do the trick! One way Mirror etc.
You can buy privacy film. Check in your local home improvement store.
Purchase privacy film for glass. Cut into appropriate size for each window in the door and and apply per instructions that come with the film. Easy peasy!
